The 17th International SONS OF THE DESERT Convention in Sacramento, California was hosted by the ANOTHER FINE MESS Tent – Oasis 49.

The SONS OF THE DESERT is the International Laurel & Hardy Appreciation Society, which derives its name from the 1933 feature film. Inspired by the plot of the film, the first convention took place in Chicago in 1978. International conventions have been held every other year ever since.
